The York University Lions men's volleyball team lost 3-0 to the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday afternoon during an away game in North Bay, Ont.
York's
Andrew Shotbolt finished first in points between all players on the court with 11.5 points, which was a first-place tie with the Lakers's Curtis MacPherson. Shotbolt also finished with the most kills amongst the Lions, with eight throughout the game. York's
Dan Everton finished the game with a total of 19 assists. He is currently ranked ninth in the OUA with 205 assists.
The Lakers took the first set 25-11. They also took the second set 25-16 and the Lions were able to battle it during the final set for a two-point 25-23 difference.
As part of their very slow month, the Lions played their third and final game of the month on Sunday and will not return to action until the first Saturday in February on the road in Kingston, Ont., against the Queen's Gaels.
