The York University Lions women's volleyball team lost 3-0 against the No. 3 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues on Sunday afternoon during their last regular season game.
York's
Olivia Kim finished the game with a total of 10 points, seven of them kills. Veteran
Sarah Williams completed the game with six kills, which helped to add points on the scoreboard for the Lions.
The Blues took the first set 25-16. The Lions were able to add four more points to the second set for a 25-20 set-game, but it wasn't enough to give them the win. The Lions and the Blues finished the final set of the game with the same score.
This was the last regular season game for the Lions. They finished their season with nine wins and nine losses.
The women will be playing the Brock Badgers next weekend as they enter as the fourth seed in the East in the OUA playoffs. The game will take place on Saturday evening at 6pm in St. Catharines, Ont.
