In a rematch of the 2019 OUA semifinal, it was the hosts from the University of Ottawa who increased their win totals Saturday evening at Matt Anthony Field in Ottawa, Ont. The Gee-Gees who had a large offensive output against the York Lions, scoring two goals in each half to earn the victory against the defending OUA champions.
NOTABLE NUMBERS
- Vanessa Santoriello had the best looks offensively for the Lions, registering two shots on goal for the red and white.
- Patricia Vrysellas made seven saves on 11 shots during the contest, while uOttawa split the game between Cassidy Joslin and Mariah Harper in goal.

After two road games to open their season, the Lions will head back home to face the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks this coming week, hosting them at their new York Lions Stadium digs Thursday, Sept. 30. The game will be available on OUA.tv.
