It's been a rough go of late for the York University Lions women's hockey team.
Without a goal in three games, and without a win in six, they're in desperate need of a turnaround, and quick. Luckily for them, they have a pair of winnable games this week, as they get set to tangle with the TMU Bold and Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.
First, it's a rare Thursday night home date with their downtown-Toronto rivals, who have played exceptionally well of late. After starting the season 2-6-0-1, they just had a four-game win streak snapped on Saturday to Guelph. That streak has propelled the Bold into the fourth and final OUA East playoff spot.
On Saturday, the Lions travel to Oshawa to face the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks, who are on the outside looking in on the playoff picture. The Ridgebacks are on the opposite end of the spectrum as of late, having not won since last playing the Lions on Nov. 26. They trail the Bold by a point for fourth in the division.

Lions to Watch
#4 JENN SHAW: First-year forward… Tied for the team lead in goals with four… The Lions have been in search of offence for a while now, so Shaw is as good a bet as any to snap York's goalless drought.
#18 JILLIAN MILLIGAN: First-year defender… Has three goals thus far, second on the team in that category… Has also taken a big role in the blueline in her first year of eligibility, appearing in all 16 games on the back end.
