The York University Lions hosted the 2026 OUA Track and Field Championships at the Toronto Track and Field Centre on February 20–21. Competing on their home turf, the Lions secured multiple OUA All-Star honours through a series of gold and silver medal finishes.
Leading the York contingent was all-star Arwin Mathivathanan, who claimed the OUA title in men's triple jump. Mathivathanan secured the gold medal with a jump of 15.67m and he was joined in the triple jump honours by fellow all-star Jamie Crawford, whose silver-medal mark of 14.84m contributed to the Lions results in the field. Further all-star honours were earned by Tristan Boateng, who cleared 2.14m for the silver in men's high jump, and Zac Osborne, who achieved his silver medal with a 17.55m toss in the weight throw.
The Lions' success continued on the track, where sprint performances yielded a collection of individual and relay accolades. Cameron Christian earned all-star honours after a 6.74-second finish to take silver in the 60m, later anchoring the 4x200m relay team to a gold-medal victory in 1:27.47. All-Star Brandon Choumbe Yami also contributed significantly to the team's standing; after running the opening leg for the championship 4x200m squad, he secured an individual silver in the 300m with a time of 34.41. Choumbe Yami concluded the weekend's awards by anchoring the men's 4x400m relay team to a bronze-medal finish in 3:17.14, representing one of the conference's multi-medal contributors. Rounding out York's all-star honours were rookie Samuel Pinceau and Ibrahim Moustafa – another member of the 4x400m team with Choumbe Yami – who each helped guide the Lions to a gold medal in the men's 4x200m relay.
