Two power play goals just over a minute apart in the third period were the difference Friday night at Canlan Sports, as the TMU Bold took down the York University Lions women's hockey team 2-1. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• After killing off an early TMU 5-on-3 in which Ava Ricker-Singh and Ilena Ricker-Singh were penalized, York took the lead soon after. Ilena Ricker-Singh came out of the box and scored at 7:10 of period one.
• Emma Wedgewood started off the second period with a phenomenal point-blank save with the Bold desperate to get back into the game. 
• The first-year netminder stopped 21 shots over the course of the game. 
• After a penalty-free second period, the sin bin became the story again in the third period. York took two penalties in quick succession, giving the Bold a 5-on-3, and they made no mistake. They scored two goals in 1:10 to go ahead of York by a goal.
