The York University women's volleyball team hosted the Guelph Gryphons in the back half of their weekend doubleheader on a snowy Sunday at Tait McKenzie Centre. The Lions were looking to rebound after getting swept by the Gryphons on Saturday and were looking to split the weekend.

The opening set was tightly contested, with both teams trading points throughout. York's defense held firm early, forcing several errors from the Gryphons. However, with the score at 11–10, the Gryphons went on an 8–2 run to seize control of the set. The Lions rallied with a late push and cut the deficit to two at 23–21, but the comeback fell short as the Gryphons closed out the set 25–23. Victoria Herrington continued her impressive form this season, leading the Lions in kills once again in the opening set.

The Gryphons controlled the second set from start to finish, winning the set 25-14. However, the home side bounced back in the third set and traded points with the Gryphons throughout the set. Despite keeping it close in the third, the Lions lost the set 25-23, getting swept in back-to-back matches by the Gryphons. The Lions record now stands at 6-10.
