Teams will consist of six players. At least two players from each gender must be represented on a team. A team may play with as few as five players (the gender rule still exists).
-
A team may carry as many as eight players on their roster but there are no substitutions. If a player does not start the game, they must sit for the duration of that game.
-
A team will default if they are not ready to play within five minutes of game time.
-
A game is played with two teams on opposite sides of a gym throwing the ball(s) at each other attempting to hit a member of the opposing team. When a player is struck with the ball, they are eliminated from the game. The team that eliminates all of the players on the opposing side, wins the match.
-
If a thrown ball is caught by the opponents, a previously eliminated player may re-enter the game. And, the player that threw the ball is out.
-
Throws may not be aimed at the head. If a ball is thrown at the head and hits the player in the head than that player is not out. However, if a player ducks and gets hit in the head, he/she is still out.
-
During play, all players must stay within the boundaries of the court. The only exception is to retrieve a stray ball.
-
The game will consist of two balls per game. The game will start with both balls on the centre line. The whistle will sound and both teams may rush from their end line to get the ball. Upon getting the ball, one pass to a team member must occur before the ball can be thrown at the opponents.
-
Time limit. There is a time limit of 15 seconds for a ball to be on your side of the court. This is to eliminate stalling.
-
There will be a time limit for each match of 15 minutes. If the time limit is reached, the team with the most players remaining will win the match. If each team has the same number, the game will continue until one team has more players.
-
Approximate size of the court is the size of a volleyball court.
-
Games will be self officiated. If enough volunteers exist, all playoffs will have a referee.
-
Players are not out if the ball hits the ground first.
-
If a ball hits a player and another player catches it before it hits the ground, both the thrower and the person it hit will be SAFE.
-
Any ball caught outside of the lines is not considered to be caught. Anything that happened prior to that will count.
-
A player may block a ball with another held ball. However, if the thrown ball hits that held ball and the held ball is dropped, that player is out.
-
Going over the line will make you out. If you jump to throw the ball and land on or over the line, you will be out and any player that you hit with the ball will also be out (suicide play).

To be eligible for the playoffs a player must play in at least one game prior to midnight. Once midnight arrives, the doors are locked, no one may enter or exit. Anyone exiting will be out for the night.
