RULES AND REGULATIONS
Intramural Outdoor Soccer
The rules of the current FIFA and the York University Intramural Program are applied and modified as follows:

Games will be played by two teams, with eleven players on the field for each time at any given time.Teams may play with a minimum of seven players.

Varsity or professional players are not eligible to participate in the league.

The captain shall be recognized by the tournament organizers as the spokesperson for the team.

Teams must be ready to play at the scheduled game times. Any team not ready to play at game time will receive a 10 minute grace period to get their team ready. The time taken to prepare the teams will be taken out of the game time.

Any team not ready after this point will recieve a default and a score of 1-0 will be recorded. Two defaults in the league will result in elimination.

Any player receiving a red card or the accumulation of 2 yellow cards will be issued a one-game suspension by the convenor. One game suspensions are not eligible for appeal.

If there are enough teams, there will be Tier 1 and Tier 2 (clearly specify Tier selection on entry form).

Teams will be required to be wearing matching jerseys. If teams do not have jerseys they will be able to rent them from the Intramural Office. Any team that doesn't wear jerseys at a game will recieve a default.

All games will be played on the South Utility or Varsity soccer fields.

Games will be to two 20-minute halves. After 20 minutes, a whistle will blow and the team leading will be declared the winner.

There will be no time outs.

This is an open league. Women and men are eligible to participate in this sport.
