Our Junior Lions camps are the ultimate in sports specific training! Campers of all ages who participate in Junior Lions camps can choose camps that suit their skill level. Levels range from Basic Fundamentals, to High Performance Training. Sports instruction is provided by our York Lions Varsity athletes and coaches. Whether you're looking to improve your skills, learn new ones, or get noticed - Junior Lions Camps will take your game to the next level!
Parents will receive an information e-mail the week before camp, that includes full camp details, a weekly itinerary, and online waiver.

Camps will follow all COVID-19 Safety Guidelines as set by the Ontario Ministry of Health, Toronto Public Health, and York University. All campers must have a signed waiver before the start of camp (one waiver per camper)

JR. LIONS TENNIS CAMP
Dates: July 4-7, July 10-14, July 17-21, July 24-28, July 31-August 4
Ages: 5-12
Tennis campers will volley, serve and ace their way to a fun and exciting camp experience! Our skilled coaches and counsellors will teach both technical and tactical aspects of tennis to players of all levels of experience. Beginner or advanced, all tennis activities are designed to allow campers to learn at their own pace.

JR. LIONS: TRACK & FIELD FUNDAMENTALS
Dates: July 17-21, 2023
Ages: 9-12
The York Lions Track and Field Fundamentals Camp provides campers with an exciting week building fundamental skills in various disciplines of track and field. Lead by Coach Raymond Rudder, campers will try their hand at everything including sprints, hurdles, jumps, and throws! Track & Field is a great camp to help improve physical strength and endurance that enhances performance in other sports. Campers will also have the opportunity for swimming, team games, and a FUN FRIDAY track event where they'll earn awards for their efforts!

JR. LIONS: VARSITY EXPERIENCE CAMP
Dates: July 10-14, 2023 & July 24-28, 2023
Ages: 10-14
The Varsity Experience Camp is designed to introduce sport happy kids to a variety of High School and University Sports. We will learn the fundamentals of traditional sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis and Soccer, and explore other exciting activities like Pickleball, Badminton, Yoga & Fitness training. While we're here learning new skills, we will also visit the campus, learn about University life, and participate in fun Club & Intramural sports & games. This camp is perfect for kids who love physical education and want to get a feel for Athletics & Recreation at York University!

Ages: 10-15
The Junior Lions will have the chance to develop and enhance their fundamental movements through basketball specific skills training, drills, and games.

This is the most advanced of all camps, and offers the most challenging skills and drills, while concentrating on various aspects of the game.

Let the Jr. Lions Lioness camp open your passion for the game! Athletes will get instruction and development from Lions Women’s Volleyball Head Coach, Jennifer Neilson. Through this experience athletes will be introduced to skills of the game; BUMP, SET, SPIKE!
