The Gaels opened up an early seven-point lead after the first quarter at 17-10, and pushed the advantage to 33-21 at the half. The Lions came out strong following the break to narrow the gap to six points mid-way through the third quarter, but that was as close as they would get as the Gaels went on a run and eventually secured the big win.
