QUICK FACTS
York
- The Lions are currently enjoying their best run of the season with two straight wins, by a 2-1 score over McMaster and 3-0 over Brock on the road last weekend, and points in four of their last five contests. Their only loss in that stretch was to the No. 4 Western Mustangs.
- The six points were crucial in the OUA West standings as the Lions are battling the Marauders and Badgers for one of six playoff spots in the division. The Lions are currently tied with the Badgers for the sixth and final spot and they hold the tiebreaker.
- The Lions are one of the lowest-scoring teams in the conference. They have netted 11 tallies in 13 games, the second-lowest total in the division, but five have come in their last two contests.
Algoma
- The Thunderbirds are still looking for their first win in program history after three straight winless seasons and a 0-12 mark so far this year. Their closest result was a 1-0 loss to Laurier in late September.
- The Thunderbirds have scored the fewest goals (three) and allowed the most (55) this season.
- Algoma's goals against average has dropped in each year over the last three and they are on pace to improve again this season. They are currently allowing 2.7 goals per game less than they did last year.
