LIONS RETURN TO ACTION AT HOME AGAINST BADGERS

The York University Lions women's soccer team hosts the Brock Badgers at Alumni Field on Sunday afternoon still in search of its first win of the season.

Last Meetings
The Lions swept the season series against the Badgers last year, winning a pair of narrow games 2-1 and 1-0. They have had Brock's number over the last several seasons and are currently riding a 15-game unbeaten streak against the Badgers dating back to 2009, when they last lost by a score of 1-0. Their record in that stretch is 13-0-2.

M Ashley Nater – The fifth-year midfielder is in her second season with the Lions and leads the team with 12 shots, including seven shots on goal. She scored her first goal of the season against McMaster last week.
 
D Jessica Lush – The rookie defender has started all six games in her first season with the Lions.
 
Brock
 
M Cassandra Stirpe – Scored the lone goal against Guelph to give the Badgers their first win of the season. It was the first goal of her career.
 
M Melanie Schouten – Tied for the team lead in scoring last year with four goals. She has scored once this season, Brock's only goal in a 1-1 tie with Waterloo.
