The Lions swept the Marauders in their two regular-season matches last year, winning 2-1 on the road and then 2-0 at home 10 days later. The Lions have not lost to McMaster since the 2013 season, going 6-0-1 in that stretch and including a playoff victory in the first round in 2014.

They started with a pair of 2-2 ties against Waterloo and Laurier on opening weekend, and last weekend lost to Western 1-0 and then tied Windsor 1-1.
- The Marauders have scored five goals this season, tied for the second most in the division, but they have also allowed six.
- Last year, the Marauders finished in fifth place in the OUA West standings and were eliminated in the first round by the Lancers in penalty kicks.

Ashley Nater – The fifth-year midfielder is in her second season with the Lions and leads the team with nine shots, including five shots on goal. She is still looking for her first goal of the season.

Tomika McIntosh – A two-time OUA West all-star at centre back, she is the anchor of a defensive unit that has allowed only 18 goals in 48 regular-season contests over the last three years.

S Maila Carboni – The fourth-year striker leads the Marauders with two goals scored this season, one each against Waterloo and Laurier. She had a career-high six goals last year.
