Box Score The York Lions beat the Windsor Lancers 4-3 in their second to last game of the regular season on Friday, Oct. 19 in Windsor, Ont. 

The Lions had 17 shots throughout the entire game while the Lancers had five shots. 

York's Christina Morelli was the first athlete to fire a shot during the game at the third minute of the game and at the 13th minute, she scored the first goal of the game. 

Seven minutes later, Windsor's Kaitlyn Austin answered York's goal and scored the first goal for the Lancers. 

The remainder of the first half saw the teams again trade goals Two minutes after Austin's goal, York's Kiyani Johnson, who was awarded female athlete of the week amongst York's varsity athletes last week, scored the second goal for York. Soon after, Windsor scored on a penalty kick by Kaylea Cunliffe and the Lancers and the Lions went into the half tied 2-2. 

Twenty-five minutes into the second half Windsor scored their third goal and York responded with two more goals, one at the 79th minute by Johnson again and the game winner by Morelli, which entered the back of the net at the 88th minute of the game and clinched the victory.

York goalkeeper Tamara Orlando made two saves in game and picked up her seventh victory of the season with the win. 

The Lions are on the road again on Sunday, Oct. 21 as they face the Western Mustangs in London, Ont.
