Last Meetings
The No. 8 Mustangs opened their season last year at Alumni Field handing the Lions a 5-2 defeat, while York returned the favour dishing out the same result, ending their season in London, Ont., with a 5-2 win of their own. A week later the two teams met again in the OUA quarter-finals, with the Mustangs taking the win 3-2. The rivalry will continue later the season, as the Lions make the trip to London on Friday, Oct. 18 for a 1pm kick-off at Mustangs Field.
The Lions will look to add to their 11-game win streak versus the Brock Badgers, a streak that dates back to 2013. In that stretch, the Lions have outscored the Badgers 32-4. Home and away did not affect the Lions last season as they swept the season series winning both games 2-0. The two teams will meet again this season at Brock Alumni Field in St. Catharines, Ont., on Saturday Oct. 5 for a 1pm game.
