Jeremy Elliott took home a gold medal in weight throwing, as he and the rest of the York University Lions track and field team opened its season with a bang this past weekend at the Tenke Meet, hosted by the Guelph Gryphons.

All in all, the Lions posted six podium finishes. and nine top five results. Additionally, six Lions posted personal best scores, including all four competitors in the men's weight throw competition.
