It hasn't been the season new head coach Jay Holness and company had hoped for, but the Lions men's basketball team will have two more chances to earn a victory in front of their home fans for 2022-23.
The Lions are 3-15 entering the final home games, with all three of their victories coming on their home floor. Those last two home meetings won't be easy ones for York, as they face the TMU Bold on Friday night before entertaining the Queen's Gaels on Super Bowl Sunday for their annual graduation game. There is only one graduate for the Lions this season, that being Somto Dimanochie.
As for the oppositions, the Bold come in on a bit of a seesaw of late, if you will. After a five-game winning streak that straddled the fall and winter terms, the Bold have gone 3-3 in their last six, alternating wins and losses. As for Queen's they've dropped two straight, doubling their loss total from the first 16 games.
