After the York University Lions track and field team finished up their run at the OUA championship with seventh and eighth place finishes, they'll be looking to build on that and add to their medal count as they round out the year in Saskatoon, Sask. at the 2023 FFUN Motorgroup U SPORTS Track & Field Championship presented by Discover Saskatoon.
Â
The Lions' best medal hopes come from their success at the conference championship, when they took home the silver medal in the 4x200m relay. The Lions achieved their podium finish in the women's 4x200m relay event. The quartet consisting of
Kimora Harris,
Hillary Ojo,
Alanah Broomfield and Alexandra Quaido finished in second position, setting a new personal best of 1:42.13.
Â
Lion athletes set eight personal bests in the OUA meet, with
Jeremy Elliott posting a pair. He was the best individual performer for the Lions at the Championships, finishing fourth in weight throw and fifth in shot put.
