After shaking out the cobwebs in the opening meet of the year at the Vigars and Salter Invitational in London last weekend, the York University Lions cross country teams were back at it Saturday in Waterloo at the Don Mills Open.
The Lions had a much-improved showing this time around, with transfer Tynan Webb finishing fifth in the men's race and rookie Anastasia Kirova finishing 12th on the women's side. Those results propelled York to a pair of top 10 team finishes, with the men finishing fifth and the women placing ninth.
