The York Lions had a phenomenal showing at the Don Mills Open Cross-Country invitational. The Lions Women's team finished fourth overall in the event with
Anastasia Kirova finishing the race in third. Kirova's third place finish and bronze medal is the first medal in York's Women's program history and was a driving force in the team's fourth place finish overall. The Men's team fared fairly well also, finishing sixth as a team and with
Tynan Webb being the first male runner to cross the line with a finish of 18th.
