The York University Lions men's hockey team returns to home ice this weekend for a pair of games to close out the 2025-26 regular season. 

The action kicks off Friday night at 7:00 pm against the Laurier Golden Hawks. While Laurier took two games from the Lions in Waterloo earlier this season, York most recently found success against the Golden Hawks with a gritty shootout win on home ice. 

On Saturday at 7:00 pm, the Lions face the Western Mustangs. Though Western holds the all-time series lead and two wins over York this season, the Lions are looking to snap a drought dating back to 2022. Saturday's finale also serves as the program's annual Senior Day. The team will host a special pre-game ceremony to honour graduating student-athletes Brodie McDougall, Aiden MacIntosh, Brendan McCarthy, Thomas Lacombe, Cole Beamin, David Mabey, Bryan McAndrews, and Jayden McCarthy.
