The York University Lions are ready for the OUA postseason. The Lions are scheduled to begin their playoff run this Wednesday, February 18, at 7:00 pm in Sudbury. This matchup follows a regular-season contest in November where the Lions were defeated by the Laurentian Voyageurs 74-59. 

Statistically, the two teams finished the season with comparable offensive outputs. York averaged 64 points per game, while Laurentian's scoring average was slightly higher at 65.3. A key factor for the Voyageurs is their efficiency, as they recorded the third-highest shooting percentage in the province at 73.7%. Conversely, the Lions have established a defensive powerhouse, finishing the season third in the province for forced turnovers with an average of 22.2 per game. 

The Lions will look to rely on their ability to disrupt offenses through steals, blocks, and rebounding to limit the Voyageurs' high-percentage opportunities. With a spot in the next round at stake, the Lions must translate their defensive pressure into a road victory.
