The York University Lions women's hockey team welcomes the UOIT Ridgebacks to Canlan Ice Sports on Sunday afternoon for its home opener after a trio of road games to begin the season.

The Ridgebacks swept the season series between the two teams last year, winning 3-0 at home in November and 3-1 at York in February. The Lions are looking for their first victory over UOIT since winning both match-ups in 2011-12.

D Kristen Barbara – An OUA second-team all-star for the second time last season after leading the Lions in scoring from the back end. She already has two assists this year, putting her tied for seventh in conference scoring by defenders.

F Mariah Wilson – The rookie forward is one of two Ridgebacks with two points this season, including the first goal of her career.
