LIONS HOST ALGOMA IN FINAL HOME GAME BEFORE BREAK

The York University Lions women's basketball team plays its final home game of the 2016 portion of its schedule on Friday night when the squad welcomes the Algoma Thunderbirds to the Tait McKenzie Centre.

Last Meetings
The Lions won their only meeting against the Thunderbirds last year, picking up a 67-56 victory in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., in the second half of the season. The Lions outscored the Thunderbirds in each of the first three quarters, including by 10 in the first, to ensure the victory. York has won all four meetings against Algoma since the Thunderbirds joined the OUA for the 2013-14 season.

G Karissa Kajorinne – Leads the team in points (9.9) and assists (2.0) per game.
