The York University Lions women's basketball team is preparing for a busy week, hosting two crucial matchups at the Tait McKenzie Centre. 

First up, the Lions will face the Brock Badgers this Wednesday morning at 11:00 am. This special "school day game" will welcome students from the community. After a strong season start, York is determined to snap a historical losing streak against the Badgers, whom they last defeated in 2022. 

The Lions then return to the court on Friday evening at 6:00 pm to take on the Algoma Thunderbirds. York has historically found consistent success against Algoma and will look to continue that trend. 

A key factor in the Lions' playstyle this season has been their powerful offensive rebounding, an advantage they will rely on heavily to secure victories in both home contests.
