These two squads faced off less than one week ago in Guelph, Ont., a game that ended with a 4-3 Gryphons victory in overtime. The Lions opened up a 3-1 lead after two periods of play but the Gryphons scored twice in a two-minute span in the middle of the third to tie the game, and won it late in the first overtime period. The Gryphons have won three in a row dating back to 2014, including a narrow 1-0 overtime win last year when they were ranked No. 1 in the CIS.
