Last Meetings
The Lakers swept the season series between the two teams last year, winning 3-2 in overtime in the first game and 3-0 in the second. Overall, the Lakers have won six straight contests over the Lions and seven of eight in total since they joined the OUA in the 2013-14 season.
Laurentian won both games against the Lions last season, taking one by a 4-2 score and one 3-0. The Voyageurs have won three consecutive games against the Lions, and prior to that run the Lions won three in a row themselves dating back to the 2014-15 season.

- After a winless October, the Lions have alternated wins and losses in November and have a 3-3 record in that stretch, including two wins at home.

- Last weekend, the Lakers earned a pair of wins over Toronto and Ryerson by scores of 4-1 and 3-2, respectively. Their most recent loss with a 5-0 result to Guelph.
- The Lakers are ranked second in the OUA with 2.89 goals scored per game. They have struggled defensively, however, and are giving up 2.23 per game, an average that puts them 10th in the conference.
- The Lakers were OUA silver medallists last year in just their fourth year in the league. They finished second in the OUA with 51 points and 17 wins in 24 games.
Laurentian
- The Voyageurs have just three wins in their first nine contests, although they've earned points in two other games with an overtime loss to first-place Queen's and a shootout loss to Ryerson, which came in their most recent contest last weekend.
- Laurentian's two regulation wins this season were both shutouts, 2-0 over Windsor and 1-0 over UOIT.
- Like the Lions, the Voyageurs are a low-scoring team this season with just 1.33 goals per game. They are also giving up 2.24 goals per game, the third-highest mark in the OUA.
- Laurentian was a playoff team last year with 37 points to finish in seventh place in the standings. They were defeated by Nipissing in the first round.

Taylor Davison – Ranks eighth overall in the OUA and second among all defenders with eight points (three goals, five assists) in 11 games. She scored the game winner against Ryerson earlier this year and is the team's overall leading scorer.

Brooke Anderson – Leads all Lions' rookies with six points (one goal, five assists) in 11 games. She is tied for 21
st overall in OUA scoring.
Nipissing
F Maria Dominico – Tied for second overall in OUA scoring with 11 points (six goals, five assists) in just seven games, the fewest games played among all players in the conference's top 20. She has scored twice on the power play and has one game winner.
D Zosia Davis – The OUA's top offensive defender with nine points in as many games. She has one goal and a conference-best eight assists.
Laurentian
G Karen Collins – Was in the net for both of her team's shutout wins, making 67 saves in those two victories. She is 10
th in the OUA in save percentage (.945) and 12
th in goals against average (2.01).
F Samantha Morell – Leads the Voyageurs in scoring with five points (four goals, one assist). She has scored two game-winning goals this season.
