QUICK FACTS

York
  • The Lions had a tough start to the season with a winless October, but they bounced back in November with a 4-4 record to accumulate 13 points and sit 11th in the OUA standings.
  • The Lions wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule with their biggest victory of the season, a 4-0 win over Laurentian on home ice in late November.
  • The Lions are allowing more goals than any other team in the OUA, with an average of 3.32 per game. They are ranked ninth in conference scoring with 1.77 goals per game.

Brock
  • The Badgers won six of their eight games in November, including closing the month on a five-game winning streak. However, December was not nearly as kind as the squad lost their last two games before the break, 4-2 to Western and 2-1 in overtime to Laurier.
  • The Badgers are one of the most improved teams in the OUA this season. After finishing outside the playoff picture in ninth place last year, they currently sit third and are just one win short of their total from last season. The 2016-17 team accumulated 33 points on the season and this year's outfit is on pace for 46.
  • Like the Lions, the Badgers are a low-scoring team and sit eighth in the OUA with two goals per game. They are a strong defensive team, however, in allowing only 1.55 goals per game, the third-best mark in the conference.
