The York University Lions cross country team sent a trio of athletes to compete at the McMaster Bayfront Open in Hamilton, Ont., on Friday afternoon.

Crossing the finish line first on the women's side was Anna Prouzou dropping her time from a weekend ago by 36 seconds, clocking in at 33:02. Following close behind was rookie Meaghan Evon, completing the 8 km race in a time of 33:34.

Competing in every competition for the Lions this season, Maxime St. Jules represented the men's team running a time of 27:26.

The Bayfront Open served as the final regular season meet giving the Lions a weekend off before they make their return to Hamilton, Ont., for the OUA Championships in two weeks' time.
