The Ridgebacks swept the season series against the Lions last year, meeting at the same point of the season a year ago winning 2-1 and taking the game at Canlan 4-1.

Contrary to the Ridgebacks, the Queen's Gaels have a win to their record despite falling to the Blues 4-1, they bounced back with a 2-1 victory over the Rams. The Lions and Gaels defended home ice, splitting their season series 1-1 following a 1-0 loss to York on the road, only for Queen's to bounce back with 4-1 triumph at home.

- After facing the Lions on Friday, Ontario Tech will make the trip to St. Catharines, Ont., to face off against the Brock Badgers.

- Contrary to the Ridgebacks, the Queen's Gaels have a win to their record despite falling to the Blues 4-1, they bounced back with a 2-1 victory over the Rams.
- Looking to repeat last year's success, the Gaels hold the same record they did a year ago at this stage of the season. In 2018, they followed up this weekend with a five-game win streak.
