Yuma, a kinesiology and health science student from Toronto, scored two goals and was twice named the player of the match at the U SPORTS championships last week, where the Lions finished in fifth place.
The third-year forward, in his first season with the Lions, had his best game in the consolation semifinals against Calgary, when he found the back of the net twice and was selected as the player of the game after leading the Lions to a 3-2 victory. His first tally came in the 61

th minute when he gave the Lions a 3-1 lead. He was also an offensive force in the quarter-finals, generating numerous chances as part of a 2-0 loss to Montreal, and was again named the player of the match. He wrapped up the tournament playing 84 minutes and recording one shot in a 1-0 win over UBC in the consolation final.
Yuma was also one of the team's best players in the regular season, leading the Lions in scoring with eight goals and four assists to earn OUA West first-team all-star honours.
Davison, a criminology student from Oakville, Ont., recorded five points in two games, including the OUA's only hat trick of the season thus far, to lead the Lions to a pair of victories last week.
On Saturday against Western, the fourth-year defender was involved in every goal her team put on the board in a 4-2 victory, avenging the Lions' only loss of the season to date. She netted three goals, including the game winner with 1:28 left in the second period, and added an assist on the team's second goal of the contest. Two days earlier, she also had an assist on a power play goal early in the third period as part of a 4-1 triumph over Laurier.
Davison is the OUA's overall scoring leader with 11 points and she is also first in assists (eight), helping the Lions to a seven-game winning streak and the top of the OUA standings.
The women's hockey Lions will look to continue their hot start to the season this weekend when they host the Waterloo Warriors and Windsor Lancers at Canlan Ice Sports on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Puck drop is set for 7pm against the Warriors and 7:15pm against the Lancers.
