The Lions swept their season series against the Warriors winning at home 2-1 and doubled their scoring on the road 4-1 in Waterloo, Ont.
Kelsey McHolm scored three goals over both games, while
Lauren Dubie recorded both wins making 27 saves in each game.

The Lancers suffered the same result against the Lions, dropping both games last season with York coming away with a massive 6-1 victory at Canlan, and winning 3-1 on the road. The No. 6 ranked team outshot their opponent 77 to 52 in the series, with scoring coming from eight different individuals including
Kara Washer who netted twice across both games.

- The Lancers dropped a pair of games against the Warriors and Golden Hawks last weekend losing 3-2 in each.
- It's been a tough start for the Lancers who are still looking for their first win heading into their ninth game of the season this weekend.
- Despite their record, the team has done well to avoid penalties and are the third best team in terms of being short-handed only going down a player 23 times this season, to go along with only three power-play goals, the fourth best mark in the OUA.
- The Lancers come into this weekend with fresher legs thanks to only one game on their schedule this week – on the road against the Lions.
