A week after their intrasquad Red & White Meet, the York University Lions track & field team kicked off their season in earnest this past weekend at their annual Holiday Open at the Toronto Track & Field Centre on York's Keele Campus.

The Lions had 19 podium finishes and set several OUA standards in the opening meet of the year, setting the tone for what the Lions hope will be another strong building season as they look to return to their peak as one of the top athletics programs in the country.
