This Friday evening at 6:00 pm, the York Lions will face the McMaster Marauders women's basketball team on the home court at the Tait McKenzie Centre. 

Despite the Lions' season-opening loss to the Warriors, Ella Okubasu delivered a powerful performance, grabbing 13 rebounds, a statistic that ranks her fifth in the province. York will need that energy against a struggling McMaster squad (0-2) that is nonetheless known as a historical OUA central division powerhouse. 

History is stacked against the Lions as the Marauders have won the last seven meetings between the two teams. York's most recent victory against McMaster was a narrow overtime win in 2020.
