The York University Lions women's hockey team is set for a major road test this Friday as they travel to Kingston to battle the Queen's Gaels. This East-West competition pits the OUA East-leading Gaels against a high-ranking Lions squad from the West, promising an exciting battle on the ice. Last season's matchups were split 1-1, highlighting the intensity of this rivalry. 

The Lions bring a potent offense with Ginger Fast currently tied for fourth in the OUA for goals, and playmaker Alexa Giantsopoulos sitting third in the province for assists. Anchoring the team is star goalie Emma Wedgewood, who leads the OUA in total saves with 243 and boasts an impressive .949 save percentage. 

The action begins this Friday evening at 7:30 pm and fans can catch every moment of the clash by streaming the game live on OUA TV.
