The York University Lions women's basketball team is set for an intense weekend series, heading north to take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves with back-to-back games scheduled for November 7th and 8th. 

The Lions (1-1) are riding high after a crucial win against the McMaster Marauders last weekend. They will face a strong opponent as the Thunderwolves, enter the weekend with a balanced 2-2 record. 

York's early success has been fueled by a high-energy play style, highlighted by their dominant effort on the glass. The team currently ranks second in the OUA for offensive rebounds, a key metric they will lean on to secure an advantage against Lakehead.
