The York University Lions women's hockey team is set for an intense home weekend at the Canlan Ice Sports, currently holding a very competitive 5-2 record in the league standings. 

The action begins this Friday evening at 7:00 pm as the Lions host the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks (2-6). While the teams did meet during the preseason, this marks their first encounter in regular season play, making it a crucial opportunity for the Lions to secure valuable points and build momentum on home ice. 

The intensity continues Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm when the Lions welcome the Ottawa Gee-Gees (5-1) for a rematch. Just last weekend, the Gee-Gees defeated the Lions with a 4-0 shutout, and now the Lions are hungry for redemption on their home ice to even the score.
