The York University Lions football program has been gifted a $1.25M donation from York football alumni David Cynamon and his wife, Stacey, through their family foundation.

The gift, the largest ever received by York University Athletics & Recreation, will go toward supporting the overall wellness of York football student athletes.

"I would like to send my immense gratitude to the Cynamon Family for their extremely generous donation," Executive Director, Athletics & Recreation, Steven Chuang. "This gift will make an immeasurable difference in the lives of our football student-athletes, and is an example of the transformational impact our alumni can have on current student-athletes and programs across Athletics & Recreation."
