The men's team secured a fifth-place overall finish out of 11 competing schools. The team's performance was highlighted by several podium finishes, led by Wesam Sa'ed, who earned silver in the men's 82kg division and contributed 8.0 team points. Andrew Lewis-Garraway (57kg) and Samuel Awonuga (125kg) both secured bronze finishes, earning 6.0 points each for the Lions.Â
In the middleweight classes, the team saw consistent scoring from Yahya Akar (65kg), Paramveer Tiwana (76kg), and Iman Aliyev (90kg), all of whom finished in fifth place and added 4.0 points each to the team total. Purav Patel completed the men's scoring in the 61kg division with a seventh-place finish, contributing 2.0 points.Â
In the Women's 50kg division, Mina Stewart placed seventh and earned 2.0 team points. Her final standing was recorded as an injury default, which unfortunately concluded her participation in the tournament.
