QUICK FACTS

York
  • After just two wins in their first six contests, the Lions have won four of their last five games to move into second place in the OUA East standings. Their most recent win over Queen's created separation in the division standings, and before that they defeated Nipissing, Laurentian and Algoma.
  • The Lions are scoring 75.5  points per game and allowing 74.3 per game.
  • The Tait McKenzie Centre has provided the Lions with clear home-court advantage, as five of their six wins have come at home. Their only loss at Tait was against Laurier.

Ryerson
  • The Rams have won their last four contests over Toronto, McMaster, York and Algoma by more than 20 points each. They also put together a six-game winning streak to start the year.
  • The Rams' only two losses on the season came against No. 1 Ottawa and No. 2 Carleton in late November.
  • The Rams are the third highest-scoring team in the OUA, and fifth overall in the CIS with 87.9 points per game. They are also the third-best defensive team in the country, and second in the conference, by allowing just 65.5 points per game.
  • The Rams have been ranked No. 3 in the CIS in every poll this season.
  • Ryerson will host the CIS championships this spring, and as a result have already earned a berth to the tournament.

Toronto
  • The Varsity Blues opened the season with a win against Waterloo but then lost seven of their next eight games. They are coming off a win to Algoma last weekend.
  • The Blues missed the post-season last year and are in danger of doing so again this season. They are currently tied with Queen's at the bottom of the division and need to finish in the top three to advance.
