The York University Lions are gearing up for the final weekend of the regular season, looking to finish strong as they split their schedule between a home finale and a season-ending road trip.

The action kicks off Friday night at 8:00 pm at the Tait McKenzie Centre, where the Lions host the Guelph Gryphons. While the Lions dropped a narrow 80-77 decision to the Gryphons in preseason play, York holds the recent edge in the rivalry, having defeated Guelph in both the 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Following Friday's home closer, the Lions travel to Waterloo to face the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday at 8:00 pm. Historically, these two programs have been evenly matched, with most contests decided by ten points or fewer. The Lions will be looking for offensive redemption after last season's meeting which was a defensive grind that saw York fall 57-46.
