• The Lions are on a mini two-game losing streak after starting the year with a pair of victories on home court. Last weekend, they travelled to Thunder Bay, Ont., and lost a narrow decision to the Lakehead Thunderwolves by a score of 79-75.

• The Thunderbirds have picked up one win in their first seven games, a 78-72 victory over Laurier on the road three weeks ago. That same weekend they also dropped an overtime decision to the Golden Hawks. Last weekend, they lost a pair of games to Ryerson and Toronto.
• The Thunderbirds are averaging only 64.3 points per game, the lowest mark in the OUA by at least three points. They are also giving up 83.7 points per game.
• As part of their weekend schedule, the Thunderbirds will also head to Kingston, Ont., on Saturday to wrap up the fall portion of their schedule against the Queen's Gaels.

G Jayden Frederick – York's leading scorer is ranked fourth in OUA scoring with 20.3 points per game. He has started all four games and has topped the 20-point mark twice, scoring 27 against Queen's and 25 against Waterloo. He is also the team's leader in rebounds with 7.3 per game.
 
F Brandon Ramirez – Ranks 13^th in the OUA and second on the team with 16.5 points per game. He is also third in rebounds, and tied for 18^th in the conference, with an average of 6.8 per game.
 
Algoma
 
G Jermaine Lyle – Leads the Thunderbirds with 11.6 points per game, the only player on the team averaging double digits. He is also averaging 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.
 
F Nathan Riley – Algoma's leading rebounder with 4.6 per game this season. He is also averaging six points per game.
