York University Athletics & Recreation honoured its five Lions women's hockey graduating players on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 14) before the team's final regular-season home game at Canlan Ice Sports.

Stephanie Dovaston, and
Sarai Whitty, defender
Kristen Barbara, and goaltender
Megan Lee. Â
Conway (Orillia, Ont.) has been a forward with the Lions for five seasons. She is an assistant captain and is consistently one of the hardest workers in practice and in the gym. She is an outstanding leader and role model for her teammates and has appeared in 87 games with the Lions since 2011. She also earned CIS academic all-Canadian honours last year.

Dovaston (Unionville, Ont.) has played in five seasons with Lions since 2010 and is a valued member of the team's leadership group. She has proven herself as a strong positional player with soft scoring touch around the net and has recorded 33 points in 113 games in her career. She set a career-high for points in her sophomore year with 17 in the 2011-12 season while finishing in third place in team scoring.

Whitty (Kingston, Ont.) has played forward with the Lions since 2011. She is a solid forechecker who brings grit to the team, has proven to be a clutch scorer for the Lions, and always plays with lots of energy and good hockey instincts. She has played in 104 games for the Lions in her career, has totaled 29 points and finished fifth in team scoring for the last two seasons.Â

Barbara (Mount Hope, Ont.) has been a highly skilled defender and power play quarterback with the Lions for five seasons. She has been honoured by the OUA and CIS in their year-end awards numerous times throughout her career, including being named to the CIS all-rookie team in 2011-12 and the CIS all-Canadian team last year. She has played in 117 regular season games for Lions and recorded 69 points, and led the OUA in points by a defenseman last year with 20 points.

Lee (Orillia, Ont.) has played goalie with the Lions since 2011 and took over as the starting goalie in the 2012-13 season. She was named team captain this season and has been one of the team leaders both on and off the ice for the duration of her time at York. She is an all-star in the classroom and was named to the CIS academic all-Canadian team last year. She has led the OUA in total saves for the past two seasons and is having her best statistical season this year, with a 1.88 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.
