Ontario University Athletics (OUA) announced its 2020 football schedule on Wednesday, with the Lions opening the year at home against the Guelph Gryphons on Sunday, Aug. 30.
 
The rest of the home schedule includes visits from the Queen's Gaels in Week 3, the Waterloo Warriors in Week 6 and the Windsor Lancers in Week 8.
 
The highlight of the road schedule will come in the season finale, when the Lions travel downtown to face the rival Toronto Varsity Blues in the 51^st Red & Blue Bowl. The Lions will be looking to wrap up the regular season by claiming their fourth straight Argo Cup.
 
The road schedule begins with a trip to Ottawa on Labour Day weekend to face the Carleton Ravens, the first of two trips to the nation's capital this season. Two weeks later the Lions will be back to face the Ottawa Gee-Gees in Week 4. The last road game is a visit to Waterloo, Ont., to face the Laurier Golden Hawks the week of Thanksgiving.
 
The Lions will not face either of the 2019 Yates Cup finalists in the McMaster Marauders and Western Mustangs, and their bye comes in Week 5.
 
The regular season will build to the much-anticipated playoffs following the conclusion of games in Week 9. The OUA quarter-finals will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31, followed by the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 7. The "Quest for the Cup" will end on Saturday, Nov. 14 with the 113^th Yates Cup.
