QUICK FACTS
Â
York
- The Nipissing Lakers put up the same number of points in both of their last games against the Lions. Their 66 on Friday wasn't enough for a victory, but it got the job done on Saturday in a 69-66 win over the Lions. A 15-0 Lakers run sunk York in the fourth quarter after the Lions built out a 19-9 lead through one quarter.
- Somto Dimanochie led the way offensively for York on Friday in the Lions win, posting 18 points, and shooting 6-8 on field goals. Him and Tyler Pryce were the only Lions to post double-digits in the rebound category – Dimanochie had 11 and Pryce had 10.
Â
Carleton
- The 4-0 Ravens have showcased impressive offensive depth in the early part of the season. So far, they've gotten at least 10 shots from each of their rostered players through four games. Their top scorer, Grant Shephard, is only 25th in U SPORTS scoring, but the Ravens as a team lead the league in points per game.
- In a non-conference game during the Tournoi Rouge et Or in Quebec City, Carleton dropped an 82-80 decision to the Regina Cougars. The loss was just the second defeat at the hands of a Canadian opponent since current head coach Taffe Charles was placed at the helm of the Carleton men's basketball program at the beginning of the 2019-20 season. The other loss was at the 2020 Capital Hoops Classic on Feb. 15, 2020.
