HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set began with RMC's Emilie L'Abbe scoring the first point of the game through an ace, which cued a 5-0 streak for RMC to start the game.
- The Lions gained their first points of the set when Endes produced a powerful spike from the center of the court after Natalie Lefaive set her up.
- Outside hitters Reynolds and Piccinin then brought York back into the game, scoring 2 points each to tie the game at 8-8.
- Reynolds produced an ace later into the match, which jumpstarted York's advantage over RMC with a score of 14-11 to York.
- The Lions then cruised from there, taking the set by six points.
- The first points of the second set came to York with a rapid but clean ace serve from Lefaive.
- Endes and Lefaive was then there to drag York further up the scoreline by producing powerful spikes that the libero could not handle.
- The hosts built their lead further to 18-5 with Brooklyn Parliament and Madison Shanks making blocks as well as tips over the net. York would only allow three more points from there before they reached the threshold of 25.
- The third set started with RMC taking the serve but gave the lead to York with a failed spike through the net. York then capitalized on this lead with Lefaive producing quality serves gave them a 4-0 lead.
- The third set ended 25-8, duplicating their result from the second set.
