The York University Lions volleyball programs will be hitting the court with an eye on bounce-back seasons in 2024-25, looking to return to the postseason after each winning a playoff match in 2022-23.

They will begin that quest on Oct. 25 when they head to Peterborough to battle the Trent Excalibur in the first of a two-game set. The Lions will return home the following weekend for their home opener on Nov. 1 when they host the Waterloo Warriors for the first time since Jan. 11, 2020.

The Lions will have 14 same-night doubleheaders against the same opponents. The other six games will be against uncommon opponents, including a weekend of home matches against Toronto (M) and Nipissing (W).

Other schedule highlights include:

• The Lions women's team will battle the Ottawa Gee-Gees in their return to OUA competition with two games in the nation's capital on Nov. 15 and 16.
• The men's team will play a two-game weekend set with the defending Forsyth Cup champion McMaster Marauders – the team against whom head coach Jordan Taylor earned his first OUA win – on Jan. 24 and 25 at McMaster.
• In a scheduling oddity, the women will not play the Toronto Varsity Blues during the regular season
• The Lions will close the season with a pair of games against their rivals from TMU. The games are scheduled for Feb. 14 and 15 at Mattamy Athletic Centre.
