The York University Lions men's basketball team is set for a crucial weekend of local Toronto competition. They will host the University of Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday night before traveling to face the TMU Bold on Saturday night. With an uphill battle to start the season, the Lions are looking to rebound as they take on their Toronto rivals.  

In the 2024-2025 season, the Lions split the series with the Varsity Blues, trading one win and one loss. The matchup against the TMU Bold presents a tougher challenge, however: historically, the Bold have dominated the win column, a trend the Lions will be eager to reverse this weekend. 

Both games are scheduled for 8:00 pm tip-off. Fans can catch the action live at the Lions' home court, in the Tait McKenzie Centre, for the Friday match, or stream both contests live on OUA TV. Tickets for Friday's home game can be purchased HERE.
