The York University Lions Men's Hockey team faces a demanding but crucial weekend, hosting back-to-back home games, both offering a chance at redemption. The action starts Saturday at 7:00 pm when the Lions welcome the Brock Badgers. York will be aiming to reverse the result of their tight 3-2 preseason loss against the Badgers. With the previous matchup being decided by a single goal, the Lions understand the necessity of a strong performance to secure a vital home win. 

The weekend culminates on Sunday at 2:15 pm with the annual Pride Game against the TMU Bold. This game is being hosted in collaboration with the Alphabet Sports Collective who are rewriting hockey, one shift at a time. This matchup presents the Lions with their second opportunity for revenge, as they look to even the score after an earlier 3-2 defeat to the Bold this season. Both previous contests against this weekend's opponents have been decided by a slim margin, emphasizing that every goal and every shift will be critical.
